Solar World was founded in 2019 with the aim of making solar energy available and affordable for everyone. We are tackling the challenges of the energy transition head-on so that we can all use affordable, climate-neutral, decentralized energy as quickly as possible. As a GmbH customer, you are part of an environmentally conscious community consisting of over 20,000 private households and companies who are working together for a sustainable future.
We are a B Corp
You can see that we are a B Corp not only from our B Corp certificate, but from everything we do. We are highly committed to the environment, social equality, our employees and transparent corporate governance. In this way, we harmonize our mission and our entrepreneurial success. Our major goal is to be CO2-neutral by 2030. Together with 500 other B Corporations, we have committed to reducing our CO2 emissions to zero by 2030 as part of the UN Climate Change Conference in Madrid. In order to achieve this goal, we will have to make a real effort over the next few years. To this end, the total emissions of our supply chain will be recorded and greenhouse gases will be reduced to a minimum. The remaining emissions will be offset. We are involving all our suppliers and partners and will also publicize our sustainability mission at colleges and universities.

Making solar energy accessible to everyone. That has been our mission since 2019, both for consumers and for companies. We started this in Germany, have since grown considerably and are also active in Belgium and Austria. We face this challenge anew every day. Just as our earth revolves around the sun, everything at Solar World revolves around the sun. We want to put the sun at the forefront as a source of energy and believe that this is possible. Why are we doing this?
The world around us is changing rapidly. Climate change is no longer a thing of the future, but is already happening today and ever closer to our homes. In addition, the way we generate energy is changing, from fossil fuels to renewables and from centralized generation plants to decentralized energy on rooftops. Solar World wants to ensure that there are no more barriers and that everyone can benefit.
Why solar systems?
Energy prices have been rising by an average of 2-5% for years, and even faster in recent years. In 2021, electricity prices have almost doubled and the price is likely to remain high for some time to come. With solar panels, you fix your electricity price for 25 years. No more uncertainty. What’s more, with solar panels you generate 100% renewable energy and are therefore largely independent of the gray electricity grid. The sun is an inexhaustible and renewable source of energy.
